Striker Puseletso Jobo was named Kick4Life Women’s fans’ favourite player at the Ladies in a Men Dominated Game Awards on Friday night. She was nominated on the category alongside her teammates, Mosa Mokhanya and Nteboheleng Mohoshela.

Ladies in a Men Dominated Game is an association founded by supporters’ of women’s football in Lesotho which aims to enhance women’s football and empower more women to participate in the sport. It is endorsed by the Lesotho Football Association.

The 2022/23 season in the Women’s Super League was Jobo’s first with the team, coming in from Rovers Ladies FC, and she ended the campaign as the club’s top goal scorer with 14 goals, making it to number four on the Super League scorer list.

On receiving the award she said, “I am very grateful to God and everyone who believed and supported me in my football journey. I am also thankful to supporters that voted for me to receive this award. I started playing football at an early age and it is an important part of my life. It is my dream to become a professional soccer player and get recognized internationally. As a career driven sport athlete who intends to engage in sports beyond just being a player, winning this award is a step closer to my dream of developing sport and helping African athletes to reach their athletic excellence.”

Coach Elizabeth Yelimala explained that Jobo indeed deserves the award as she is a hard worker and is happy for her to have received this milestone. She thanked all Kick4Life supporters for voting for her player and pleaded with the fans to keep supporting the team as her girls are forever dedicated to delivering the best football.
