No.7 is a restaurant with a difference. Based at the Kick4Life Centre in Maseru, Lesotho’s capital city, we offer great food in a friendly environment with stunning views across the city. All of our profits are pumped back into Kick4Life’s charitable work, so just by dining with us you are helping to change the lives of young people in the community. What’s more, our staff team, under the stewardship of our experienced Head Chef and Restaurant Manager, consists of former and current participants undergoing a structured training program aimed at developing skills for a successful career in the catering and hospitality industries.
As well as the restaurant, No.7 runs a catering service for a wide selection of internal and external events from conferences and team-building days to dinner parties and weddings. We can seat over 100 people at one time with indoor and outdoor seating areas. The outdoor area includes 2 wood burners and a braai. Our cuisine is a freshly prepared menu that expresses a European style with a Lesotho touch.
Hailing from the Southern part of Lesotho, Mafeteng, Mikey studied Culinary Arts with Capsicum Culinary Studio in 2012, and also obtained French qualifications from the National University of Lesotho and the Ministry of Education in France via Alliance Francaise de Maseru. He grew up in an environment that inspired his passion for cooking. From the age of 8 he watched his mother cook, not just only ordinary local meals but exotic food too. He also has a grandmother who used to own restaurants and lodges which he would visit often and watch her and the Chefs cook, and then started experimenting in her kitchen and his mother’s, which would often get him into trouble for wasting ingredients!
