Social Enterprise Assist

Through Social Enterprise Assist (SEA) we help Sport for Social Change organisations around the world to strengthen their financial sustainability, and increase their impact, through income generating enterprise activities.

By generating their own funds, charities and development organisations have greater flexibility to plan, deliver and achieve their outcomes. These Social Enterprise activities can complement grants, donations and other income streams as part of a balanced and diverse funding strategy, and they often have an additional social impact, such as an environmental benefit or providing training and employment opportunities for young people.

Whether it is renting out a room or a pitch or running a more complex business such as a restaurant or a clothing brand, the underpinning principles are the same, and the Social Enterprise Assist tools have been created to support your organisation through a structured and comprehensive process towards achieving greater sustainability and impact.

Developed with funding from Common Goal, Social Enterprise Assist is primarily focused on supporting Sport for Social Change organisations but we have also worked with charities from a wider range of sectors in many parts of the world.

SEA Approach & Tools

The SEA methodology was collaboratively designed by a team of leading Sport for Social Change experts with extensive experience developing and running successful Social Enterprises across the world. Their collective knowledge has contributed to the following tools designed to provide tailored and intensive support to assist organisations towards achieving greater sustainability and impact.

Toolkit – The SEA toolkit includes ten steps towards setting up and running successful Social Enterprises, from organisational analysis and idea generation to business modelling, fundraising and implementation.

Workshops – We have designed a number of workshops to support groups of organisations at different stages of their SE journey, including idea generation and business modelling. We can deliver these online or in-person at events and conferences.

Remote Consulting – Our Coaches will provide dedicated remote support including online review and mentoring calls.

Onsite Consulting – We also deliver onsite support, with our coaches working in-person with your team to assess challenges and help you identify and set up enterprise opportunities.
