Thabo Khasane, known as ‘Maphorisa’ on the football field, is a pivotal midfielder in the Kick4Life Juventude team, known for his passing and goal-scoring abilities. His outstanding performances in the past season made a significant impact on the team’s success and he will wear jersey number 10 for the 2024/25 season. He has also earned a leadership role, being named the team’s vice-captain
Beyond football, Maphorisa has taken a step into community service. He recently volunteered to join the team working on some parts of Kick4Life’s Stadium of Life, focusing on the construction of the new parking lot that followed the new fencing. His involvement aligns with Kick4Life’s commitment to supporting community development through sport and empowering players to be more than just athletes but also responsible community leaders.
Thabo says: “I am glad that #IPlayMyPart on and off the pitch to assist this organisation that transforms the lives of so many youth. I am also learning a lot here and gaining work experience that I did not have.”
Kick4Life’s Country Director, Motlatsi Nkhahle, added: “We are very pleased to see more of our players stepping forward to inquire about and engage in numerous voluntary activities as a way of giving back to Kick4Life. Thabo’s community service certainly advances our purpose of playing a key role in the sustainable development of Lesotho by using football to help build the country’s next generation of ethical leaders and change-makers.”
