We knew they would come at us - Notsi

Kick4Life coach Leslie Notsi said they were expecting a tough encounter on Saturday when they face Rovers at Roma in the Vodacom Premier League.

This, he said during the post-match presser after his team cruised to a 2-0 win. Notsi explained that Rovers were fresh from their victory against Lioli the previous week and they were playing at their own backyard, hence that made them dangerous opponents. “They were offensive from the onset and what we had to do was to be cautious not to concede or give away fouls, and I believe we did that very well,” he said.

In this game, Morapeli Lesoetsa opened the scorings in the twelve minute of the first half before Thabiso Brown sealed victory with fourteen minutes to go and Notsi praised Lesoetsa for his brilliant performance after returning to the starting XI.

“He’s been well at training and I was happy with his performance on Saturday because he even scored us a goal,” Notsi noted.

Shifting the focus into the next game, the coach said they are facing Lioli at the right time when they have been performing well as this will give themselves options as to weighing how they have progressed.
