Three Peaks Challenge raises £15,000 for Kick4Life
Twenty-six people completed the iconic Three Peaks challenge for Kick4Life raising more than £15,000 for the charity. The challenge involves climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland & Wales within 24 hours.
Starting with Ben Nevis in Scotland on Saturday 7th June the group reached the summit in unexpected sunshine before the drive to Scafell Pike in England’s Lake District which was completed during the evening. With a dedicated team of volunteer drivers and support crew, the group then drove to Mount Snowdon in Wales, finishing the third peak early on Sunday morning.
Co-founder Steve Fleming said: “The Three Peaks is a tough and immensely rewarding challenge, with a total ascent of 3000 metres and covering a marathon distance. The lack of sleep adds to the difficulty but the group remained focused and positive, and had a great time.”
This was the second time the charity ran the challenge after a successful expedition in 2014 featured above.
