Rodger heads to USA to begin scholarship
Another tear-filled happy day at Kick4Life, as family and friends assembled at Moshoeshoe 1 Airport to bid Thabo 'Rodger' Mahlaha farewell as he flies abroad to study.
The 20-year-old flies to the United States of America today to begin a fully-funded academic and football scholarship at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, to study Computer Science for four years.
Upon expressing his gratitude, Rodger said: ‘I hope this serves as an example to young people out there that it is possible to be good in both academics and football. Thank you once again Kick4Life for this opportunity.’
