WHU Foundation partnership launched

We're thrilled to announce a new partnership with the West Ham United Foundation, the charity associated to the English Premier League club.

The new Girls Empowerment through Football project will see two West Ham United Foundation coaches visit Lesotho later this year to train 25 girls and young women in community football coaching, as well as supporting the delivery of ongoing interventions for vulnerable girls in the Mountain Kingdom.

The project has been made possible with funding from the English Premier League's International Development Fund.

Kick4Life Co-founder Steve Fleming said: "This is a wonderful opportunity to partner with a club with a rich heritage and a very strong record of delivering health and education activities in underprivileged communities for many years."

Ross Williams, Senior Football Development Officer at West Ham United Foundation added: "We are very excited by the prospect of working with Kick4Life to support their excellent work in Lesotho. We also look forward to learning and sharing from each other's work, and laying the foundations for a lasting partnership."
