Lapeng Care Center attends K4L training
Lapeng Care Center is a government facility under the Ministry of Gender, Youth, Sports, Arts, Culture and Social Development that houses survivors of Gender Based Violence and Kick4Life was delighted to invite three young leaders from the facility to participate in a coach training course for the Good Health & Wellbeing through Sport curriculum.
They also got the opportunity to connect and share with people from different environments, and the course provided the three Lapeng participants with training to deliver sessions on topics such as hygiene and healthy lifestyles. One of the young leaders stated that the shift of environment was beneficial to her and her peers, and they enjoyed taking part, and learning to deliver, different activities and games, which they are now using to pass on key health messages to other young people at Lapeng Care Center.
Mbulelo Mochochoko, Kick4Life Programmes Manager commended the participants, adding: ‘The participants were very engaged and they interacted well with other people. It was great to see them develop confidence during the course and we look forward to further collaborations with Lapeng Care Center.'
