Men's team prepares for Premier League debut season

The 2014/15 season is an exciting new challenge for Kick4Life F.C. as the men’s team prepares to play in the Lesotho Premier League for the first time in their history after achieving promotion in 2013/14. The A-Division South champions finished five points clear of the well-fancied, former Premier League participants Liphakoe, as well as claiming the overall A Division championship after defeating A Division North champions Qalo, 3-0, at the national stadium

As Basotho football continues to develop, with both the under 20’s and senior national sides showing large strides with some successful results in recent times, the Premier League offers the chance for Kick4Life and their promising young squad of players the chance to show they can compete at that level.

The Premier League consists of 14 teams with the bottom two being relegated to the A Division. There are also incentives for clubs to achieve more as there is now a Top 8 tournament the following season, offering the chance for teams who finished in the top eight of the Premier League to compete for further silverware and prize money. The top four will also compete in the following season’s Independence Cup, a prestigious tournament which takes place at the national stadium in October.

Kick4Life F.C. is seeking to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season. Young right-back Pitso Monne, who has racked up a number of games for Premier League giants Lioli, including some appearances in the African Champions League, has signed on a one year loan along with former Kick4Life youngster and Lesotho Under 20 international Tokelo Majoro. They have also be joined by Motlalepula Chabeli, who scored seven goals in eleven games for Kick4Life last season after joining on loan from Matlama. Chabeli has signed for the club permanently.
