Kick4Life make national play-offs

Kick4Life's men's team won the B Division Regional play-offs at the weekend with a win and a draw enough to see them over the line. They now progress to the national play-offs in Mohale’s Hoek on 29th April where they will compete for a place in the A Division.

The Juventude boys travelled all the way to Berea on Saturday to play against two other teams in the B Division point system, with the games played at the Lioli Stadium.

Kick4Life’s first game was against Thaba Tseka team - Rangers FC. Mahase Tšilo put Kick4Life in the lead netting 17 minutes into the game with Ratšiu Tumeliso grabbing a second from the penalty spot just three minutes later. Rangers could only find one goal in reply meaning a 2-1 victory for K4L.

In their second match K4L faced Blue Birds, taking the lead with a strike from Molefi Bataung after 9 minutes. Blue Birds equalised in the second half, with a 1-1 draw enough for Kick4Life to qualify for the national finals by virtue of scoring more goals than Blue Birds across the play off matches.

Commenting on their success and the team being one step close to A Division, Coach Mbho said, ‘It was a great opportunity this weekend to express what we have been incubating for a long time. Thanks to all the fans, coaches and players for their efforts.’
