Kepa selected for CAF instructor course

Kepa selected for CAF instructor course

Kick4Life Ladies captain and Lesotho national team midfielder Makobo Kepa will fly to Cameroon for a week long Confederation of African Football instructor course later this month.

This 9-day course is meant to equip and empower the members with coaching skills to train and help other coaches in their own countries. It is scheduled to start on the 13th and end on the 22nd of August, and the 29 year old Kepa will be attending with the help of the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA).

“I am honoured to be given this chance, it’s a great opportunity for me to improve as a person and also my skills in coaching,” Kepa said.

She is currently holding LeFA Level 1 coaching certificate from a coaching course that was held earlier this year at Kick4Life for its development coaches as well as the players who would want to pursue coaching in the future.

The technical director of LeFA  Lehlohonolo Thotanyane said it is in his office’s best interests to see local coaches moving to higher levels of coaching as that will help the country’s football. He said taking Kaybee, as Kepa is popularly known, was not a difficult decision because she was introduced to coaching lessons earlier in April and she is also a national team material.

Upon her arrival in Cameroon, she will be expected to present her theory in the classroom and also carry out field practical sessions.
