K4L youth teams perform well in Easter tourney

Kick4Life’s youth sides put on an impressive performance in the Lesotho Easter Youth Tournament that was held at Bambatha on Friday and Saturday 30th – 31st March 2018.

Kick4Life Academy progressed to the finals after edging the Botswana side, Palapye All Stars 3-1 at the penalties after the game ended goalless.  They lost 1-0 to their counterparts Matlama U16s in the final.

The Kick4Life U23s also made it to the finals after seeing off the neighbouring South African Side Kagiso Sports School of Excellence 8-7 at the penalties after the match ended 2-2. They suffered a 2-1 defeat to ACE Maseru in the finals with Tebello Ntene scoring the only goal for the Old Europa boys.

U16s on the other hand we knocked out at the quarter-finals by Matlama U16s in the 1-0 defeat.

The Director of Football Chris Bullock complemented the three sides for their impressive performance in the tournament: “We are happy with how our teams performed. To have two teams playing the finals is a big achievement and of course even our U16s played well despite their loss."
