
K4L student-athletes make top achievers list
Kick4Life student-athletes, Kabelo Ngatane and Moiketsi Selemo made Kick4Life proud by making the top achievers list in the Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education examinations in 2022.
On expressing his delight, Moiketsi Selemo said, ‘Above everything, I am happy for myself and my teammates who have made it in the past year. I would like to thank my parents for their support and I would like to thank the Kick4Life community for its support, from tutoring throughout the year to the moral support they offered us and the never ending words of encouragement that kept me going.’
Kabelo Ngatane also started off by thanking his family for supporting him and also thanked Kick4Life for providing him with resources they needed to succeed in their studies. He said, ‘The tutors that Kick4Life provided us with were very patient with us, they went an extra mile for all of us to achieve what we have today, and I am thankful to them. I am also grateful to have worked with such dedicated people as my teammates, with whom we studied and encouraged each other throughout the year.’
Kick4LIfe Academy Director Maleshoane Mokhathi, expressed that she is proud of the boys on their achievement. She stated that this is the second time Academy participants make it to the prestigious top achievers’ list.
Kick4Life’s Country Director, Motlatsi Nkhahle said, ‘We aim to put Lesotho on the map, and we can achieve this in part by supporting the development of top student athletes in Africa. Kabelo’s and Moiketsi's stellar academic performance along with their impressive football performance are indications that we are on the right track to achieve the aforementioned target. Collectively, we will play our role in helping to build Lesotho's next generation of leaders and change-makers.’
