K4L receives kit from SV Darmstadt

K4L receives kit from SV Darmstadt

Kick4Life is pleased to have received football kit from a German football club, SV Darmstadt this week.

SV Darmstadt play in the second tier of German football. The postage of this kit was paid for by SV Darmstadt fan club Block 1898. These tops, shorts, socks, tracksuit tops, bibs, goalkeeper tracksuit bottoms will be handful in the Kick4Life men’s team, women’s team and development teams.

The Director of Football Chris Bullock expressed his gratitude over this gesture: "We are very grateful to SV Darmstadt and Block 1898 Fan Club for donating kit to the team. It is always very difficult for teams to afford all the kit that they need and for us with senior men’s, women and development teams, this kit will go a long way towards the needs for all of our teams for the season. We are looking forward to building our relationship with SV Darmstadt and also wish them well this season"

Two years ago, SV Darmstadt were competing in the Bundesliga.  Supporter Liaisons Officer, Alex Lehné says, "We got to know Kick4Life by chance, while trying to see a football match in Lesotho. We experienced a great hospitality when four supporters of our club and I visited kick4life. We were impressed about the efforts the co-workers of this project do in HIV prevention, but we could also see that equipment was needed. So we were happy to help with some kits given by Darmstadt 98 while the supporter's organisation 'Block1898' cared about transport and customs."
