K4L promote trio to senior team

Kick4Life Football Director Lepekola Seetane has said the management, working closely with the technical team has promoted youth players  Vivian Talenyana, Malehloa Thokoana and Maleshaoane Khoarai to the first team.

Speaking on the promotion, Seetane said: “We are making sure we open more doors for our development teams, we have a youth model that we believe in and it’s really working well for us. We want these young players to be impactful in the elite leagues.”

For 16-year-old Talenyana, being a Kick4Life player comes with a lot of responsibilities in the community as well as in the football pitch: “I have always been inspired by how our senior players conduct themselves, they are not just the players but ambassadors for the club. I have trained with the senior team before but I had to take a break and focus more on my studies because I was sitting for my final examinations. Education is very important at Kick4Life.”

Head Coach Elizabeth Yelimala has welcomed the players and said she is excited to be working with them. She said her team will ensure that they assist them to fit in well into the senior set up and manage their careers well.

Kick4Life’s youth model has produced good results in recent years with players like Morakane Mokhothu, who topped the Super League scorings in her first season, and Mats’ukulu Motloheloa who earned a national team call up.
