K4L go head to head with Matlama in VPL

Kick4Life welcome fellow Maseru counterparts, Matlama this afternoon in the Vodacom Premier League at LCS grounds as they look to round their first half season with a win.

Match is scheduled at 2pm.

This is a catch up match which was postponed earlier this month due to players from both teams being engaged in the national team.

Kick4Life saw their match against LMPS not taking place last Sunday as their opponents did not honour the fixture and the team is yet to receive a way forward from the Premier League Management Committee. Matlama on the other hand were away at Lifofane and they claimed a 1-0 win.

Having both played 13 matches, Kick4Life are in the 8th position with 21 points, while Matlama occupy the second spot with 31points. Last season, the two teams played to a 1-all draw at Setsoto stadium, thanks to Ts’eliso Botsane’s goal for K4L. Unfortunately the second leg was not played due to football activities being cancelled due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Coach Motebang Makhetha will be sending his troops for full intentions to claim the bragging rights for Maseru territory.

Looking at the nature of this match, the battle will likely to be won in the midfield. Kick4Life will have Mokoteli Mohapi and Teboho Lekhooa aiming to boss the territory, while Phafa Ts’osane and Lisema Lebokollane will work hard to fight for the edge over their opponents.
