Kick4Life ended the season in 6th place as Nkoto Masoabi grabbed a brace and Khubetsoana Kamela scored one to help Kick4Life clinch a 3-1 win against Linare. The victory saw the club end the 2017/18 Econet Premier League season on a high note in a match played at Maputsoe DiFA stadium.
Linare’s goal was scored by Realeboha Tsese. Kick4Life had already qualified for the top8 while Linare were hoping for a win to stand a chance to finish in the top8. The win puts K4L on the sixth position. After the match Coach Leslie Notsi expressed his delight to end the season with a win.
“It’s a great win for us, well deserved to our boys, they showed character especially after last weekend’s loss. We needed this win today to wrap it up with the smiles,”Notsi said.
Kick4Life took the lead at 30 minutes with the usual suspect Masoabi’s fine header from a well taken set piece by Ralekoti Mokhahlane. Pulumo Billy almost levelled matters with his thunder shot in the 44thminute.
Then with a few seconds to go into the break, Kamela doubled the lead with a tap in after Fidele Ntoya’s strike his the post and fell on his path.
In the second half, Tsese caught Mohau Kuenane off guard with a bullet shot and made it 2-1 for Tse Tala. Three minutes Rethabile Selonyane was presented with a glorious chance to net the second for Linare but he blasted over the bar.
In the 54thminute, Linare were punished for bad marking at the back, Masoabi out sprinted Mkwanazi at the ball and scored. Kuenane later on picked and injury and Rorisang Moabi replaced him. As if Kuenane’s blow wasn’t enough, Norman Kumatse committed his second bookable offence and was sent off in the 69thminute.
However, Kick4Life held on to their three goals until the final whistle to register yet another win against Linare this season.
