Kick4Life to face Bantu in Top4

Kick4Life to face Bantu in Top4

The draw for the Independence Top4 Cup semi-finals was made on Tuesday afternoon at Bambatha Tsita Sports Arena and Kick4Life will host Bantu in the first match of the tournament on Saturday 7th October 2017.

This year, the system used was the fold method where the team that finished top of the table in the league will meet the fourth placed team. The league runners then meet the third placed.

Baba Malephane, who was the draw master, assisted by representatives from the sponsors, Metropolitan Lesotho and Standard Lesotho Bank, carried out the draw which saw Kick4Life drawing in Bantu in the first match, while Lioli and LCS are to play the second match.

While this will be the first time Kick4Life participates in the Independence Cup, it is the second time they meet Bantu in the cup competition. Earlier this year, the two teams met in the fight for the 3rd place, and Bantu won on penalties.

The team that clinches the trophy will walk away with M200 000 while the runners will be awarded M100 000. The 3rd and 4th finalists will pocket M70 000 and M50 000 respectively.
