Kick4Life dropped valuable points following their 1-0 defeat to Liphakoe in the Econet Premier League on Sunday afternoon at LCS grounds.
Bonang Mohapi almost broke the deadlock in the first minute of the match; his well taken shot missed the goals with inches. A minute later Tsepang Makapa also tried his luck but he rifled over the bar.
In the 15th minute, Thabo Masualle did well to clear the ball and deny Makapa. Three minutes later, Thaane Mokhehle released a shot that went too high at goals. In the 25th minute, Lepekola Seetane made a cross in the box but Tankiso Chaba was alert to collect it.
In the 37th minute, Tseliso Botsane fought he had given Kick4Life the lead with a tap in but the assistant referee flagged him for an offside after a well fought ball by Mohapi. The game went into the break with no goals.
After the break, Coach Bob Mafoso brought the energetic Mokoteli Mohapi in place of Seetane who seemed to have a quiet day. Norman Kumatse was also introduced after the hour mark and the latter did well to deny Rethabile Letseka in the 71st minute.
However, from the corner, Letuka Mokhachane gave Liphakoe the lead with a header. Seeing that he needed to put more pressure on his opponents, Mafoso brought Tsiu Moorosi in the 78th minute and his presence was also felt when he came close to scoring but the ball was too strong for him.
In the dying minutes, Botsane was gifted with a glorious opportunity to level matters but he went down in the box and the referee cautioned him for simulation.
