K4L deliver Girls United to Mehalalitoe
Kick4Life recently delivered sessions from the Girls United curriculum to the squad of Mehalalitoe - the Lesotho national women's team.
The sessions were delivered in partnership with LEFA - the Lesotho Football Association - at the Bambatha Tšita Sports Arena, prior to the squad's departure for the COSAFA Women's Championships held in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The Girls United curriculum is focused on developing key transferrable skills such as leadership and team-building skills, as well as delivering health and gender rights education, with sessions including Be a Team, Know Your Body, Goal Protection and Know Your Rights.
Kick4Life’s Director of Women’s Programmes, Maphoka ‘Puky’ Ramokoatsi, thanked the team for their participation and congratulated them for completing the sessions, adding: ‘I wish these ladies the best of luck and I am confident they will use all the skills they learned in our sessions to better themselves not just in the games they will be playing now but in their lives in general.’
