Juventude begin A Division campaign

Kick4Life 'Juventude' FC will travel north to Mokhotlong this weekend to play their opening game of the new A Division season against Mzamane FC. In the previous season, K4L secured promotion to the A Division after becoming Maseru B Division champions.

Expectations are high for the blue jersey supporters, despite three payers securing international opportunities via Kick4Life with Kabelo Ngatane and Seabata Tšemane gaining student-athlete scholarships in the USA, and Tumeliso Ratšiu moving to play in Iceland with Grótta FC. When asked about pre-season preparations, Head Coach, Epie Mukte Mboh, mentioned some challenges related to many of his players transitioning from high school to tertiary institutions. He also stated that moving up a league will be a good opportunity for his players to develop as individuals and as a team. Talking of game plan, Mukete says he plans on maintaining Kick4Life’s philosophy of producing players that are good decision makers and technically confident on the ball. He adds that he still aims to attack, which is the strategy he has used in the past, and seems to work for him.

He said: ‘Despite all the hurdles and challenges we have come across during pre season, challenging the players physically and psychologically, they want to perform, show the country  what they are made of, and change certain norms within football in the country, So, yah, the mood is really high and demanding, the boys want to play.'
