Japanese Academy visits Kick4Life
A group of young people from Japan landed in Lesotho on Tuesday for a week-long tour with Kick4Life. Organised through the Third Half, the Wakatake Academy party includes 13 young football players and 3 supervisors.
The group will participate in a range of football, learning and cultural activities during their stay, and have already had the opportunity to meet King Letsie III of Lesotho during a visit to the Royal Palace (pictured).
Joel Santos from the Third Half said: “This is the third tour we have brought to Kick4Life since 2016. We know Kick4Life provides great qualities in football, education and cultural exchange so we saw it as a great opportunity for the Wakatake Academy to come and experience the kind of work that is being done here.”
Addressing the group, Kick4Life Country Director Hana Taiji said: “Each tour has been unique and left a lasting impact on us as we have learned from Third Half's curricula, aimed at creating global-minded, socially responsible citizens, as well as the visitors and their own cultures. We are also proud to share Kick4Life's work and Lesotho's culture to the world."
