Journalist & broadcaster James Montague, visited Kick4Life last week to shoot part of an upcoming show with Sports Illustrated. He is currently travelling across Africa for his television programme “Exploring Planet Futbol with James Montague”.

Montague said: “My crew and I were amazed to learn about how Kick4Life works hence our interest to come and witness how things are been done. We had read some positives about the organisation, the impact it’s bringing in Lesotho especially for girls playing football, and believe me when I say Kick4Life is doing a good job”.

Montague had a chance to interact with some of the participants including playing football with them. He also took part in HIV prevention activities where he was informed about the issues surrounding the virus and the statistics in Lesotho. Moreover, he went for HIV testing and counselling.

In his career, Montague first published his book When Friday Comes: Football in the War Zone after travelling the Middle East, relating between football and politics. The book won him the Best New Writer at the 2009 British Sports Book Awards.

His second book, Thirty One Nil: On The Road With Football's Outsiders, a World Cup Odyssey, was published by Bloomsbury in May 2014. The book was named Football Book of the Year at the 2015 British Sports Book of the Year Awards. He has also worked with the New York Times, CNN and Soccer World.
