British High Commissioner visits K4L

The British High Commissioner, His Excellency. Nigel Casey visited Kick4Life today and commended the organisation's commitment to raising awareness and increasing understanding on the issues related to HIV/AIDS.

HE. Casey attended the “Big Lunch” reception at No.7 Restaurant that was aimed at marking the build up to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to be held in April this year.

The High Commissioner also had a chance to take part in Kick4Life's life skills activities and said he was fascinated by how things are done. “What I really like about Kick4Life’s work is that it’s using innovative techniques to re-bring hope in a very visual way to young people - what HIV/AIDS is, what immune systems are and how they can look after themselves, and all this is done in a way which communicates effectively,”

Also present at the occasion was Lesotho’s Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Relations Hon. Lesego Makgothi who expressed his delight to be at Kick4Life and said this was the right choice of venue as the organization has won several awards in recognition to its dedication towards the fight of HIV/AIDS.
