Bakuena gives back on his 18th birthday

Kick4Life Academy Student-Athlete Bakuena Ramakatsa celebrated his 18th birthday on Thursday with the local orphanage centre, Ministry of Hope, in Katlehong, Maseru by handing out food packages and other household items.

Ramakatsa, who has just completed his high school from Thetsane joined the academy in 2017. Speaking on this, he said he wanted to share his happiness on his big day with peers and he couldn't have done it better than being at the centre with the kids.

"I am happy to be here today and celebrate my birthday with everyone here. I grew up in a family that has taught me that in life we have to support each other's, as I turn 18, I decided to thank God for helping me pass by examinations, keeping me alive and I believed the best way to do that was to lend a giving hand"

His father Moeketsi Ramakatsa said they are proud of the doings of his son. He said he thanks everyone that contributed to the growing of Bakuena.

"He felt he wants to celebrate his day with his dear brothers and sisters. We realised that every year we buy him cakes for his birthday and it ends there but this year he said he wanted to make an impact to the lives of others hence we supported him through his initiative"

Receiving and accepting the packages, the representative from the centre Mrs Mamaloisane thanked Bakuena and his family together with Kick4Life for this gesture. She said it gives them hope and courage to see a youngster of Ramakatsa's age to have a love and kindness towards other people.
