Academy scholars earn Associate Degrees in US

Two Kick4Life Academy graduates, Morapeli Lesoetsa and Senate Letsie became the first to earn full Associate Degrees in Arts when they graduated from Lewis and Clark Community College in the USA on Wednesday 15th May.

Both Lesoetsa and Letsie graduated from the Kick4Life Academy two years ago, securing athletic scholarships to further their academic and football careers across the Atlantic.

Lesoetsa said: “I’m grateful for the opportunity Kick4Life gave me to study and play soccer abroad."

Letsie, who became the first Mosotho woman to gain soccer and academic scholarship when she graduated in 2017, said: “I have learned to never give up no matter how challenging the obstacles I come across in life are. I’m proud of how far I have come and I’m grateful for my life and the opportunities that I have through Kick4Life.”

Amongst their achievements, Lesoetsa and Letsie recently earned their second Honours Scholar Awards, with Letsie also walking away with the “You Have a Voice” Humanities Annual Speech Contest.
