Kick4Life officially welcomed a new generation of footballers on Friday, 27 September, with the unveiling of new players joining the Junior and Senior Women’s teams ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The unveiling marked an exciting step for the club as experienced players, emerging talent and young footballers beginning their journeys through the Kick4Life pathway came together ahead of the new season. It also reflected an important part of the Kick4Life approach: supporting young people to develop both on and off the pitch, with education remaining an important part of every young player’s journey.
The Senior Women’s team has been strengthened by nine new players from different stages of the Kick4Life pathway and beyond. Reitumetse Mpeka joins from LCS FC Development, while Ts’episo Ramats’ella and Mats’eliso Namane have progressed from the Kick4Life Juniors. Reitumetse Motsiba has earned promotion from the Kick4Life Soccer School programme, while Puseletso Jobo returns to the team after spending two years at school in Nigeria.
Five of the new senior players — Reitumetse Mpeka, Ts’episo Ramats’ella, Mats’eliso Namane, Reitumetse Motsiba and Puseletso Jobo — were present at the unveiling. Khaliso Seboka, ‘Mamosa Ramotla, Bongiwe Lepolesa and Rets’epile Khabele were unable to attend due to school commitments.
Their absence was, however, an important reminder that for Kick4Life players, football and education go hand in hand. The Academics Pillar of the Kick4Life Academy provides players with structured tutoring, academic monitoring, mentorship, career guidance and support with university, scholarship and internship applications. The aim is to ensure that young people are supported to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to achieve their potential, both in football and beyond it.
One of the biggest highlights of the afternoon was the promotion of 14-year-old Reitumetse Motsiba from the grassroots Soccer School programme directly into the Senior Women’s team. Her performances earned her a place among the senior players, allowing her to make the unusual step of progressing straight to the top level without first playing for the Juniors.
It is the first time in Kick4Life’s history that a player has made this progression, highlighting the opportunities within the club’s pathway for young players who demonstrate the ability and readiness to take on new challenges.
The Junior Women’s team has also welcomed a new group of players following the promotion of several members of last season’s squad to the senior team. A total of 17 players has joined the Juniors, most of them new registrations who had not previously been signed to a club but had gained experience playing for their school teams.
Six of the new junior players attended the unveiling: Lerato Pasa, ‘Mahlaoli Papashane, Nts’eboMoshoeshoe, Makibi Kulehile, Boitumelo Mokolokolo and Mosa Rantja. The remaining 11 — Bophelo Makhasane, Rethabile Motanyane, Phethahatso Moshoeshoe, ‘MamojalefaRamashamole, Lithapelo Khechane, Liako Molapo, ‘Mamanama Hlojeng, Neo Ralebitso, Mpho Ramarumo, Leseli Letsie and Palesa Mohale — were unable to attend because of school commitments.
With players at both junior and senior level continuing to balance their football development with their education, their absence from the unveiling reinforces a principle at the heart of the Academy: being a successful footballer does not mean putting education aside. School remains a priority, and the Academics Pillar is there to help players manage both areas of their development as they work towards their future goals.
Welcoming the players, Kick4Life Country Director Motlatsi Nkhahle encouraged them to work hard and uphold the quality and style of football that the club has built over the years. He also reminded the new players of the responsibility that comes with representing Kick4Life as they begin the new season.
Following the unveiling, the Junior and Senior Women’s teams had the opportunity to meet and greet Kick4Life staff who were present, receiving their well wishes as they prepare for the season ahead.
The new chapter begins on the pitch this Sunday, 27 September, when the Kick4Life Senior Women open their league campaign at home against newly promoted PK Stars Ladies.
With new faces joining at both junior and senior level, and players continuing to progress through the Kick4Life pathway, the 2026/27 season begins with another generation of female footballers ready to take their next step — while continuing to build the education, character and skills they will need for life beyond the pitch.
