Kick4Life ‘Juventude’ continued their strong run in the league with a 2-0 victory over Lerotholi Polytechnic, securing their second consecutive win.
The match, which took place on Sunday, saw an electrifying start and a clinical finish from the team. The game kicked off in sensational fashion as Molefi Kulehile stunned the opposition with a goal in the first 30 seconds. The first half saw both teams battling for control, but it was Juventude who remained on top with solid defensive play and possession-based football. Despite some promising attacks from Lerotholi Polytechnic, the home side’s defense stood firm, with goalkeeper Mohau Mabeli remaining untested for the majority of the half.
The match was put beyond doubt in the 28th minute of the second half when Molefi Kulehilestruck again, completing his brace. The remainder of the match saw Lerotholi Polytechnic push forward, but they were unable to break down Juventude’s solid defensive line. The visitors’ best efforts were thwarted by a disciplined defense and a strong performance from goalkeeper Mabeli, who kept the clean sheet intact.
With the win, Juventude secured their second straight victory following a 2-1 triumph over Rangers FC on 16th February. However, there is still uncertainty surrounding their position on the league standings due to a forfeited match on 1st March, where opponents CCX FC failed to show up. The league organizers have yet to make a final decision on the abandoned match, leaving Juventude in suspense regarding their exact standing.
