Kick4Life Juventude hosted league newcomers, Rangers FC on Saturday, 26th October. It was the second home game of the season for K4L and the visitors left with 3 points in their bag, which marked their first win since their arrival in A-Division.
The game kicked off at 14:20, 20 minutes after the scheduled time. Rangers scored their first goal in the 15th minute of the game, and from there things got harder for Juventude. A few minutes after the goal, Coach Mukete made a change, bringing in Sello Nyai for Thapelo Seoka, but that did not shake the visitor’s performance as they netted their second goal five minutes before half-time.
When the second half resumed, there were two changes in the home side, with Hlompho Phalatsi and Bakuena Masupha stepping onto the field for Neo Maieane and Moiketsi Selemo. That change worked in Juventude’s favor as Hlompho Phalatsi converted a free kick into a goal in the 51st minute of the match. With the hope of equalizing, Mukete introduced Thuto Khetsi and took off Katleho Lesoetsa, hoping to apply more pressure upfront. There was a visible change after that substitution, but unfortunately, no goal was produced as the game ended 1-2.
