Kick4Life Gears Up for Legacy Cup in SA

Kick4Life’s Women’s and Men’s teams are all set to light up the pitch at the upcoming Legacy Cup tournament, taking place from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

The action kicks off with the Women’s team on Friday 11th July at 1PM as they face off against the hosts, University of the Free State (UFS). The excitement continues into Saturday 12th July, with a morning clash at 9AM against Central University of Technology, followed by their final group match at 1:30PM against Sol Plaatje. The outcomes of these three thrilling encounters will determine Kick4Life Women’s path in the tournament, with the semi-finals and finals scheduled for Sunday 13th July at 9AM and 1PM respectively.

On the Men’s side, Kick4Life Juventude will step into friendly competition mode on Saturday 12th July. They’ll challenge UFS at 10:30AM before wrapping up their campaign with a 3PM fixture against Maquassie FC, all ahead of their return to Lesotho.

Lesotho will proudly be represented by two teams at the Legacy Cup, the second being the national Under-20 Women’s team.

This off-season tournament presents a fantastic opportunity for both squads to stay match-fit and sharpen their skills. For the Women’s team, it’s especially meaningful — a chance to gain valuable international experience as they gear up for bigger stages, fresh from their triumphant 2024/25 Lesotho Women’s Super League title win.
