On Sunday, 2nd March, Kick4Life Senior Women’s team defeated FC Stoko 3-0 in the opening match of the Lesotho Women’s Super League second round, securing 3 points and retaining top spot in the table.
The first goal came in the 13th minute of the first half, with a penalty converted by Itumeleng Phiri, who was still in celebratory spirits after her team, the national U17 side ‘Lishoeshoe’, had won the Team of the Year award at the Lesotho Annual Sports Awards on Friday, 28th February. The second goal followed 20 minutes later, courtesy of an own goal by a Stoko defender. The game went into the break with a 2-0 scoreline, and remained that way until the 85th minute when Lerato Ts’oinyana scored to extend the lead to 3-0.
This victory marked Kick4Life Women’s 9th win out of 10 games played since the start of the season.
