On the 17th May, Kick4Life’s Academy Director, Maleshoane Mokhathi, visited Thetsane High School, accompanied by Kick4Life Academy Student-Athlete, Morakane Mokhothu who is currently studying International Business at Lenoir-Rhyne University in North Carolina, USA.
Morakane shared her previous experiences as a high school student at Thetsane, explaining how she balanced her academics and her football to achieve excellence in both spheres. She also spoke about her experiences living, studying and playing football in the United States.
Maleshoane also motivated the Grade 11 students, encouraging them to value their work and believe in themselves, as well as valuing different trades such as crafts, carpentry works and tailoring,
Another important topic that she covered was the use of mobile phones and social media, as well as discussing the positive and negative sides of Internet.
In conclusion, Maleshoane urged the scholars to take time, self-introspect and get to know their strengths and weaknesses, encouraging them to select courses that will lead to professions that they will enjoy and be passionate about.
