K4L finish 2nd in Nedbank 8 Tournament

Our senior men’s team, Kick4Life ‘Juventude’, which is also the first generation of our academy graduates, displayed a stunning performance, finishing 2nd in the Nedbank Top 8 tournament of Lesotho’s A Division league.

The tournament was played by eight teams, which were the top four teams from each of the two A Division streams (North & South). It began on Saturday 4th May where K4L faced Swallows FC in the quarter finals and won 2-1 with goals from Paseka Maile and Itorobong Edem. With that win we proceeded to the semi finals on Saturday 11th May coming out victorious over Maroala FC with a 2-0 win with goals by Thabo Khasane and Paseka Maile.

On Sunday 12th May we played the final game of the tournament against Members FC. The game started at 14:35 and Members took an early lead, a few minutes later our boys equalised with Thabo Khasane registering his second goal of the tournament. Moments later Bataung Molefi found the back of the net to extend our lead to 2-1 before going to half time.

The second half began and Members came in stronger than before, equalising on the 9th minute of the second half and scoring 2 more goals within a space of 10 minutes. We were now 2-4 down and that’s how the game ended with Members FC crowned the Nedbank 8 2023/24 champions.

At the end of it all we came home with the silver medals and a cheque of M30 000.00, and our forward, Paseka Maile was awarded M3 000.00 as the Player of the Tournament for his excellent performances.
