Climate entrepreneurs graduate from Incubator

On Thursday, 27th March 2025, Kick4Life held a graduation ceremony for four participants of the Climate Enterprise Incubation (CEI). The CEI initiative is designed to support young female entrepreneurs with sustainable businesses that incorporate environmental goals and practices.

The graduation was an opportunity to celebrate four young women who have completed the incubator programme over the last year, with the development and growth of the following enterprises: Pheha Plastic, Earth Lovers, Nomsa Plastic Bricks, and Bokamoso Youth Cooperative Society Limited.

During the programme, Kick4Life provided business coaching and resources, mentorship, transferable skills development and support for women in business covering topics such as responding to gender discrimination and upholding their rights. As well as hearing from a range of experienced guest speakers, a key part of the programme was also the opportunity to connect with other like-minded young women, to share experiences, and to support and motivate each other on their entrepreneurial journeys.

Kick4Life’s Programmes Manager, Mbulelo Mochochoko, thanked the participants for their “dedication, hard work and commitment shown over the last year”.

On behalf of the participants, Ms. Limpho Thoahlane of Pheha Plastic said: “Kick4Life’s Climate Enterprise Incubator Programme was a valuable experience, as it allowed us to establish connections with other businesses involved in climate action. This not only widened our network but also enabled us to share ideas and strategies for creating a positive environmental impact. Furthermore, the program helped reinforce our commitment to accountability in business practices, ensuring that our operations align with sustainability goals.”

With support from the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, the Climate Enterprise Incubator is continuing throughout 2025 with new participants joining the existing cohort as part of Kick4Life’s efforts to strengthen climate resilience in Lesotho. Kick4Life’s Country Director Motlatsi Nkhahle said: “We are passionate about supporting young women to become leaders of sustainable business in the Mountain Kingdom, as well as helping them to achieve sustainable livelihoods”.
