Thapelo Tale and Thabiso Brown were on song as Kick4Life edged Sky Battalion 3-0 in the Vodacom Premier League on Sunday afternoon at LCS grounds.

The win brought Kick4Life back at the top of the table after Bantu were held to a 2-2 braw by Matlama. Lioli did not play in the league after competing in an African Champions League qualifier on Saturday.

Tale recorded another brace after bagging two on his debut in last week’s 5-3 win over Sandawana in the Top8. He found the opener in the 10th minute after a well-played long ball by Bokang Mothoana behind Sky Battalion's defence.

Six minutes later, Morapeli Lesoetsa saw his header going off before Thejane Thejane tried his luck. Tale had doubled his tally in the 20th minute after a beautiful cross from Thabiso Brown, but the line man’s flag was already up.

Ntoya-Malonga unleashed a rifle in the 23rd minute but his shot was blocked away. A minute later, Moruti Thamahane did well to stop Tsietsi Motseare’s danger. Bonang Mohapi could have done better when he found himself in an open space just outside the box, but his shot went off target in the 34th minute.

Sky Battalion were now looking for a goal and Monne Pitso did well to clear the ball on Thabang Malane’s foot, and moments later, Rorisang Moabi produced a brilliant save to deny Brown a diving header.

The visitors regrouped for the second half, but could do little to truly trouble a Kick4Life side determined to keep a grip on three precious points. Brown was now becoming a threat to the opponents as his superbly curled ball forced keeper Moabi to fist over the bar in the 49th minute. A few minutes later, Brown’s header slightly missed the goals.

Kick4Life doubled the lead in the 57th minute, this time Brown finding his long awaited goal, curling the ball into the box, and beating Moabi. Leslie Notsi then brought Likano Teele to manage the area in the left back where Sky Battalion looked lively when attacking.

Moabi was called into action again in the 62nd minute, this time doing well to deny Lesoetsa a goal. However, it did not take long for Tale to complete his brace as in the 75th minute; he dribbled passed the keeper and scored in an empty net, wrapping up the game.
