The spoils were shared as Kick4Life and Lioli played to a 1-1 draw in front of hundreds of fans in the Econet Premier League on Saturday afternoon at LCS.

Tsepang Ntsenyane claimed an early lead for Kick4Life in the 8th minute connecting well with Monne Pitso’s cross, beating Sebata at the near post. However, Lekata levelled matters for Tse Nala just 5 minutes before the break with a comfortable tap-in.

It was a much anticipated fixture as both sides were looking for three points. Kick4Life were looking to taste their first  league win over Lioli and stretch their unbeaten record in the league to seven while Lioli were aiming to bounce back from their last weekend’s loss to LDF.

After a good start to the game, Kick4Life’s real chance came in the 7th minute when they were awarded a freekick just outside the box. Bokang Mothoana, best known as the freekick specialist, forced Sebata into a fine save to keep Tse Nala in the game. However, Sebata’s efforts were not enough to stop the hosts from getting a goal as in the 8th minute, Pitso made an excellent run in the box and crossed the ball to Ntsenyane who opened the scorings.

The visitors responded shortly after the 12th minute of the game, Bushy Moletsane with a good pass to Lekhanya Lekhanya but Sele Thetsane did well to stop the danger. Lioli were now pressing for an equalizer and Likano Teele blocked Lekata’s shot in the box to make it a corner in the 17th minute. Tumelo Khutlang was then booked for simulation in the 23rd minute.

Lioli found an equalizer in the 40th minute from a well-played ball by Moletsane who placed the ball on Lekata’s path and it was 1-1 at half time.

In the second half, Lekhanya blasted at the keeper in the 51st minute but Thetsane denied him. Coach Leslie Notsi then introduced Mokoteli Mohapi in place of Norman Kumatse who was having a quiet game.

In the 65th minute, Mothoana made a long throw in, in the box to Ntsenyane but his header was well spotted by the keeper. With sixteen minutes to play. Mothoana saw his set piece missing with inches at goals.

Bonang Mohapi came on to cause a stir in the 79th minute when Lioli’s keeper could not handle his cracker but Tsiu Moorosi was unfortunate not to make it at a follow up.
