Kick4Life secured a point at home against LCS in the Vodacom Premier League on Saturday afternoon at LCS grounds.

The draw allowed the Old Europa outfit to restore their pride after suffering two loses in the past two weeks. It also means they could still secure a place in the top4 as they are currently on the third place with 39 points, 3 points ahead LCS, although Kick4Life still have a game in hand.

Thabiso Brown opened the scorings in the 14th minute before Leboneng Moqecho could come in, in the second half to cancel out Brown’s lead in the 46th minute. It was a highly contested affair with lots of chances created from both sides.

The home side took an early threat as Bokang Mothoana fired at the keeper, but Sam Ketsekile was up for the challenge in the 1st minute. Two minutes later, Brown made a brilliant turn outside the box, but his shot missed the target.

Then in the 13th minute, LCS were awarded a freekick and Motiki Mohale’s attempt went straight to the wall. After the minute, Mohale made a hospital pass to the keeper, but it fell on the path of Brown who placed the ball on the top corner, leaving Ketsekile with no chance.

Having found the opener, the hosts grew more in confidence and Ntoya-Malonga unlashed coming from the right before Rantaitsane missed a free header in the box in the 21st minute. LCS were now knocking on Kick4Life doors asking questions but nothing could not break the determined Kick4Life team. In the 38th minute Mohale forced Thetsane into making full stretch to deny him a goal.

In the opening minute of the second half, LCS produced some nice touches that led to Moqecho finding the net in the 46th minute. Four minutes later, Makara blasted the bar from a follow up.

After the hour mark, Coach Leslie Notsi introduced fresh legs of Khubetsoana Kamela in place of Ntoya-Malonga. In the 66th minute, Mothoana was presented with a glorious chance as he found himself unmarked in the box but his shot went straight to the keeper.

Two minutes later, Mohale missed the target with just inches. With four minutes before time, Mothoana was also unfortunate to see his header going straight to the keeper.
