On the 9th of June 2006 the FIFA World Cup began in Munich, Germany. Throughout the month-long tournament England Footvolley internationals James Titley and David Donkin, along with a team put together by Kick 4 Life, were set the challenge of going to Germany and completing 1 million keep-ups that had to be completed with fans from ALL 32 nations taking part in the competition.

The boys travelled the width and breadth of Germany in search of not only fans from every country taking part, but also those who are willing to join in on the challenge. Their search was made all the more difficult because it was impossible for them to get to the matches of every nation because of the hectic fixture schedule.

As well as raising money for good causes this challenge hoped to be symbolic in uniting the world to help fight poverty and disease in the developing world. All this through the universal language of football…

The team successfully completed the 1 million keep-ups and just managed to find a fan from all 32

nations to take part, finding their last participant just minutes before their flight home.

The team managed to raise £3500- all of which will goes towards the building of a football community

centre in Lesotho that will provide HIV/AIDS education and advice.
